FRENCH BLOGS

Blogs are a great way to stay connected with the happenings in France and to get the inside view on what is going on. There are blogs by Americans living in France who tell us all about their experiences and travels as well as blogs by French on their daily adventures at home or abroad.

Paris, one photo a day: You know Paris and you like it? You have never been to Paris but you'd like a sneak preview? Then come here and you will find a brand new picture every single day, taken by one of its inhabitants, with a short description of the photo. Very nice!!

David Lebovitz: Living the sweet life of Paris. This is basically a food blog, by a well-known American pastry chef, but his many humerous observations about Paris and the Parisians make for very entertaining reading. Make sure to take a look, in his categories, at Parisian Culture, or if you want to visit Paris, at Travel Tips.

Tomate Farcie: A little touch of Paris in San Francisco/Un petit air de Paris à San Francisco.

Ask a Frenchman! Finally your chance has arrived to learn more about these strange people that are the French! As no less than the self-proclaimed world specialist on Frenchness and all things French, I will answer any question about anything you've always wanted to know and never dared to ask about France and the French.

Stuff Parisians like

SUPERFRENCHIE: Frenchie's adventures in French-bashing America. Tons of old, outdated and false stereotypes about France and the French still prevail in American society. But this is also a place to discuss French-American relations, and try to better understand each other’s point of view. Not at the foreign minister level, but at a citizen level. Most of the time, it is light-hearted. Occasionally, it’s a bit more tense. I don’t exactly shy away from pushing hot buttons.

Frenchless in France
Linda Mathieu's experiences living as an American expat in France. She lives in both Paris and Provence. Follow her adventures as she learns her way around this foreign country.

"I am originally from France, but have lived in the US since June 2002. I keep enjoying all the good things this country has to offer, such as the King of Prussia mall, muffins, my husband Jonathan, and yummy pancakes. After browsing many blogs, I thought that it would actually be a good idea to have my own, so that I can keep in touch with the people I know in the country of smelly cheeses."
